Super Therm®: The Most Effective Ceramic Insulation and Weatherization Coating on the Market

Super Therm® is a ceramic based, water-borne, insulating coating, designed to block heat load, moisture penetration, and air infiltration over a surface and to reduce energy costs. Super Therm® is the most effective and longest lasting ceramic insulation coating on the market today. Super Therm® reflects over 95% of the three radiation sources from the sun, which are ultraviolet, visual light and infra red rays.
Benefits of Super Therm®:

Energy Savings - Super Therm® can provide energy savings of 20-70%. According to use and application.

Super Therm® will continue to save energy year after year unlike other white roof coatings will lose 30% its reflectivity after the first 3 years.

Insulation Equivalent Rating - Super Therm® reflects over 95% of radiation from the sun replacing the 6 to 8 inches of traditional insulation to block initial heat load.

Blocks Moisture and Air Infliltration – Super Therm® is certified and tested as a moisture and air barrier under ASTM certified testing.

Environmentally Friendly - Super Therm® is certified environmentally safe and eco-effective by MBDC LLC (Gold Certificate) and is approved by the USDA for use in and around food preparation areas. (The original USDA testing and approval letter is on file.)

Class A Fire Rating - In case of fire, Super Therm® will not contribute and will resist the spread of fire. "0" Flame and smoke.

Long Lasting - Super Therm® has a 20+ year lifespan on roofing under normal conditions when applied as a system
Super Therm® is UL, FM, DNV, ABS, IMO, USDA, Energy Star, ICC, California Home Furnishings, and U.S. Coast Guard and CRRC approved to meet criteria.
Super Therm® is Energy Star qualified as a 20 year roof coating. For more information go to (page 87, Energy Star Roof Product List)
Uses:
Industrial and Commercial:

Reduces energy costs and increases comfort by coating roofing and interior or exterior walls to keep heat in during winter or heat out during the summer

Insulate freezers or refrigeration units to protect goods and reduce costs

Reduce fuel consumption with refrigerated trucks

Protect goods by insulating long haul trailers designed to carry perishables

Reduce risk of condensation on cold water pipes

Insulate oil and gas storage tanks to prevent evaporation and heat build-up

Insulate air conditioning unit outer casings to prevent reductions in efficiency due to heat build up inside the housing

Provide a fire-resistant coating for substrates. Super Therm® has a "0" fire and smoke spread and will not contribute to flame
Agricultural:

Reduce heat stress and increase livestock profitability by applying to all animal shelters, especially poultry, cattle, hogs, and horses

Insulate freezers or refrigeration units to protect goods and reduce costs

Protect goods by insulating long haul trailers designed to carry perishables

Reduce heat stress during animal transportation by applying to vehicles

Reduce energy costs and increase comfort by coating roofing and interior/exterior walls to keep heat in during winter or heat out during the summer

Insulate hot pipes against heat loss and personal injury

Reduce risk of condensation on cold water pipes
Super Therm®: Field Testing Data

A strong coating is one that will perform well in both laboratory testing and field-testing. Provided are examples on how Super Therm® has worked for companies around the world.
Sony Energy Corporation-Japan
The roofs of a 435,000 square foot manufacturing facility and office were coated with Super Therm®. The cost was paid back in energy savings in only 13 months.
Performance in Japan
Mitsubishi - 14 degrees C reduction in room temperature
Sony - Coated roof and walls of a test facility at their factory. KW usage dropped 78% over the summer months from previous year to coated year. Later ROI showed to be 13 months on large facilities building (430,000 sq ft.).
Subaru - 24 degrees C reduction in roof surface temperature
Sumitomo Eton Nova Co. - Temperature underneath the insulated roof was reduced by an average of 12 degrees C over one month
Hitachi Electric - 35 degrees C (63 degrees F) reduction in temperature under the roof
Sekisui - 12 degrees C (22 degrees F) reduction in room temperature
Yokohama Tire-Rubber - 19 degrees C (34 degrees F) reduction in room temperature
Kirin Brewery - 15 degrees C (27 degrees F) reduction in room temperature
Mitsubishi Material - 26 degrees C (47 degrees F) reduction in roof surface temperature
Sumitomo Light Metal Industry - 17 degrees C (31 degrees F) reduction in room temperature
Panasonic - Matsushita Electric - 24 degrees C (43 degrees F) reduction in surface temperature
YKK Zippers – 5 degrees C reduction in room temperature in factory area, office area eliminated need for 3 out of 7 A/C units

Architectural review on 10-year aged roof and found no loss of reflectivity

15-year test of roof and found it was still 76% of reflectivity when new
